About Kasol.com

An independent guide to one Himalayan valley, written to be useful rather than to flatter.

What this site is

Kasol.com is a travel guide to Kasol and the Parvati Valley: how to get here, when to come, where to walk, what to eat and how to stay safe. It is published in English, Hindi, Hebrew, Punjabi, Bengali and Gujarati — the languages most of the valley’s visitors read.

How we work

  • We write from published sources, official information and travellers’ recent reports, and we say “about”, “roughly” or “check locally” where facts shift — bus times, trail rules and prices in particular.
  • We list only tours that we could verify as live GetYourGuide products, and we say so plainly when the choice is thin.
  • We do not promote drug use, and we describe the valley’s risks — the monsoon, the river, lone trekking — without softening them.
  • We ask visitors to respect local customs, especially in Malana and at Manikaran.

How the site is funded

We are a GetYourGuide affiliate partner and link to Trip.com for accommodation. If you book through our links we may earn a commission at no cost to you. Nobody pays to be included or ranked. Details are in the affiliate disclosure.
